#2111 1980 VW LSR Truck

The pictures below were taken during the many modifications to the #2111 WGBR 1980 VW Land Speed Racing Pickup Truck.  The pictures give some insights to the amount of changes required to change a street truck that is raced into a pure land speed race truck.

The parachute system is installed.  We are racing a truck so we used a receiver hitch for the mount. (6/09)

The dry sump engine feed adaptor Gary Boyer, the team machinist made. This was done on the new WGBR slightly used Bridgeport mill. Team mate Rick Yacoucci was the recipient of a used Bridgeport with DRO and the WGBR team thankfully was allowed use of the hand me down. (3/10) The Oil adaptor in the last machining operation.
